I always get a little reflective this time of year, with my father having passed away on July 3rd decades ago. And then I started thinking of my grandmother and her unusual eyes, eyes that I inherited. I wanted to find out the rarity of this condition and the name of it. It’s called Central Heterochromia, and less than 1% of the world’s population has this. Neat!

I have the same thing, though its less pronounced, mine are brown/ green instead of brown/blue.
My pupper has “cracked glass eyes”, a type of heterochromia where he has a brown eye with a blue “ wedge” in it, and a blue eye with a brown wedge . Not sure if humans can get that or not.

I didn’t realize it was a thing but my wife has it too, I always said her eyes look like sunflowers, the inner ring is m ore yellow in her eyes and the outer part is more of a sky blue.

My dad has arcus senilis in both eyes - typically this fades from birth but his have always been there. They look like angle eye headlight rings.
